How do I start the process?

We’re so excited that you're thinking about working with us! First step is to set up a 15-minute introductory call HERE or email us at team@upliftyd.com.

How long is the e-design process?

It takes us about 2-3 weeks after each touch point to send the updated design. These touch-points include the initial intro call, initial concept, final design and 1 revision if requested.  So the process can take anywhere from 4 weeks to 9 weeks, on average. 

Who orders the furniture?

You would order the furniture. The beauty of virtual interior design is that it’s a more cost effective way to get a designer look. Not only do you get a custom design, but we’ll also send you the links to each of the furniture pieces so that you can order everything on your own timeline, based on your budget.

What do your e-design services include?

We have a couple options for you based on what you’re looking to do!  All of the details can be found in our Services page above.

How much interaction will I have with my designer?

As much interaction as you need! We're very mindful that you have a busy life with enough on your plate, so we'll send periodic updates to make it concise and easy. We'll likely ask for your thoughts at that time to adjust the design direction accordingly.

You’ll be able to connect with your designer via text and email within regular business hours (9am - 5pm PST), on regular business days (Monday - Friday). 

What if I don't know my budget yet?

Not a problem! We have a super handy budget guide to help you determine a budget that works best for you, the type of room and the quality of furniture that you’re looking for.  Simply email us at team@upliftyd.com and we’ll send it over! 

Can I use some of my existing furniture?

We can work with most furniture items, so this should totally be ok. We'll need photographs and measurements of the furniture pieces so that we can ensure they're rendered to scale. We'll make sure to go over it in our initial intro call!

What if I don't like my design?

One of the perks of utilizing Upliftyd Design Studio is that we value the client-designer relationship. For example:

  • We'll have an intro Zoom meeting so that we can meet face to face to get to know each other and really understand what you’re looking for.
  • A few weeks later, we’ll send you an initial concept to make sure we’re on the right track and get your feedback. 
  • From there we’ll adjust accordingly and send you the final design where you also get 1 revision, if requested. 

Making sure you not only like the design– but love the design is built into our process! 

Do you provide assistance with taking measurements?

Yes absolutely! We have a few options. 

Upon purchasing a design package, we’ll send you a super handy measurement guide to assist with taking measurements of your space. 

That said, we also understand that taking measurements of your space may still feel overwhelming.  If this is the case for you, just let us know in advance of our intro call and we’re happy to extend it by a half hour to walk through the measurements together.

Does it make sense to hire a virtual interior designer?

The short answer: Absolutely! (But we're a little biased.)

The long answer: If you’re reading this, chances are you’ve already acknowledged that you need help with designing your home.  Maybe you feel like it isn’t a reflection of yourself or maybe it all just feels too overwhelming to do on your own.  That’s where we’ve got you covered.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor & Statistics, we spend an average of 8+ waking hours at home and 8.8+ hours sleeping– that’s 70% of our lives that we spend at home.  Your home is where you wake up every morning & go to bed at night.  It’s where you have dinner with your loved ones.  It’s where you binge Netflix (and maybe chill too!).  It’s where you celebrate the happy moments in life and find sanctuary during the harder times.  For many of us, it’s where we work remotely.  It’s where you will spend hours catching up and laughing with friends over wine, and singing happy birthday surrounded by your loved ones.  

Our homes are our hearts, and they should reflect the best versions of ourselves. Before you spend several thousand dollars on furniture, you're going to want to make sure it all works together cohesively.  That way you can truly feel proud to call your house your home. 

(Not to mention that as Americans we spend an average of $2K/year on coffee and another $3K/year on dining out.  So ensuring you have good design that will bring you joy for years to come sounds totally worth it to us. Cheers to that!)
